Seven governed stages separate initial interest from charter issuance. Each stage has clear requirements, defined outcomes, and institutional-grade review. This is not a course enrollment — it is entry into a governed professional designation.
Suitability Review
Before formal application, all candidates complete a pre-admission suitability assessment. This self-selection gate evaluates baseline eligibility, professional background, and willingness to undergo a governed qualification process.
Application & KYC Verification
Submit your formal application including professional biography, employment history, identity documents, and professional references. Your submission initiates KYC verification and AML/sanctions screening.
Character & Fitness Review
Disclose any regulatory, legal, or disciplinary history. PMA verifies identity and conduct — not just knowledge. Clean disclosures may clear automatically. Adverse history requires Standards Committee review.
Enrollment & Formal Admission
Execute the enrollment agreement to formalize admission as a PMA charter candidate. Accept the fee schedule, Code of Professional Conduct, confidentiality obligations, and standards commitments.
Standards Training & Domain Study
Controlled progression through all five charter domains. Each domain requires completion of all modules and a passing competency check before the next unlocks. This is governed standards preparation — not a self-paced course.
Board Examination
Live-proctored comprehensive examination covering all five charter domains. Government ID verification, room scan, and secure browser lockdown are required.
Charter Issuance & Oath
Accept the PMA Oath of Market Integrity. Your charter credential is formally issued, your unique Credential ID is activated, and your standing is published to the public verification registry.
Ongoing Standing & Renewal
Charter issuance is not the end — it is the beginning of a continuing professional obligation.
